Feb 13/14: Maple Sugaring Tour

Nights in the 20s and days in the 40s signal sap run! Observe campfires with boiling sap that show how Native Americans and Colonists made maple sugar. Learn tree ID, climate change impacts, qualities of sap and syrup, and more. Visit our outdoor, mini “maple museum” and a tapped tree. If the weather’s right, we’ll watch sap’s journey from slow drips into buckets to our boiling evaporator. When the sap’s running, we’ll peek through the door of our sugar shack to observe the boil in action.
