Flower Pressing at the Farm
Flower Pressing Workshop at the Farm - Nov 19 at 1 PM (1 hours)

Join us for a Flower Pressing workshop on Saturday November 19 at 1pm with Mona Gold, experienced Horticulture Therapist.

Pressing flowers enables gardeners to preserve and retain the beauty of spring, summer and fall colors!

Each participant will be given a Pressed Flower Kit which contains: recycled cardboard, news print paper instead of blotting paper, rubber bands, wax paper bags, and a sample project. During the workshop you will be shown various flower pressing methods and discuss what can and can't be pressed. Weather permitting, you will search for items to press here at the Farm though if it is wet we will have plants available for you to use. Mona will also take you through what you can do with pressed flowers, from making tealight holders to ornaments!

Please wear warm layers as our goal is to be outdoors, however cold weather may move us into the hoophouse or indoors so we will not cancel the workshop due to inclement weather.

Registration: $45 per adult. Class limit 15 participants
Age: All participants over 16 yrs will require their own ticket, anyone attending under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and will work together with them. One ticket = one flower press!
