Grow Your Own Mushrooms (Online Class & Kit)

Grow your own mushrooms at home!

This Grow Your Own Mushroom Class allows you to grow your very own crop of mushrooms at home with the expert support from Farmer Elizabeth through three live, interactive hour-long Zoom experiences over the course of the week-long growing period. Grow kits may be picked up at NCOF the day before your first class. Bring your curiosity and your questions and dive into the fascinating world of mycology with your fellow NCOF mycophiles!  This is a family-friendly class; children must sign up and attend with someone 14 or over.

This class includes:

    • 3, 1-hour interactive Zoom classes over the week-long growing period
    • A growing kit(s) of your choice, expected to produce at least 2 pounds of mushrooms! Choose from oyster only, or oyster AND shiitake mushrooms.
    • Ideas for art and science experiments with mushrooms

The March classes are held: March 5 at 10 am, March 9 at 7:30 pm, and March 12 at 10 am.

The April classes are held April 2 at 10 am, April 6 at 7:30 pm, and April 9 at 10 am.
 
Mushroom kit(s) pickup will take place at NCOF (117 Eliot St, Natick) the day before your class starts, so March 4 or April 1.
