Summer CSA, Meat Shares
Farmers Choice Meat CSA
- 8 pickups will place every other week, starting the week of June 1. Pick Up weeks as follows,
- June 3, 17
- July 1, 15, 29
- August 5, 19
- Sept 1
- This share coincides with the timing of the Summer Vegetable share, but may be bought independently
- Pick up is self driven, any shares not picked up by friday afternoon will be reallocated or donated
- There will be opportunities to pick up fresh chicken as part of your share. Fresh Chicken pickups will be shared with you at least 2 weeks before pick up.
Featuring NCOF's humanely raised pork, goat, lamb, & chicken. As well as Rocca Di Cambio's premium grass fed Angus Beef.
- All meat will be "fresh-frozen," with the exception of Fresh Chicken Pick up Opportunities (Please bring a cooler to pick up; we will provide reusable ice packs in the share bags as needed)
- As with any CSA, share contents will be selected at the Farmers' discretion. We cannot guarantee specific cuts of meat.
Fairly Priced
- Small Shares are $150. Small shares are very small, only 1-2 lbs of meat at pick up or 1 whole chicken. (About $20 value per pick up)
- Medium Shares are $300. Double the size of a small share you can expect to receive around 4 lbs of meat per pick up. (Roughly $40 value per pick up)
- Large Shares are $600. You can expect to receive larger and more expensive cuts of meat with the large shares and around 6-10 lbs per pick up. (About $80 value at each pick up)
